Chapter 46: Sazed gathered all the older crew members for a secret meeting, where they decided to let Vin, Elend, Tindwyl, and Spook leave the city while they stayed behind to fight, even though Luthadel’s fall seemed destined. Straff sent assassins to kill Zane, but they failed. Zane went to confront Straff and told him to withdraw and let the koloss attack the city. He would leave with Vin so that Straff could take the city afterward. Zane left and fetched a Mistborn cloak, some vials of metals, and beads of atium. He reflected on the spike in his chest.
