Chapter 30: azed transcribed the rubbing from the Conventical of Seran. Vin entered Sazed's room through the window. She read the transcription and asked what the Deepness was. Sazed replied that there were various theories. Vin assumed that the mist was the Deepness and that, if it came during the day permanently, it would bring death and chaos. She told Sazed that she had seen the same mist creature that had followed the Hero of Ages. She also speculated that the Hero of Ages might need to return to deal with the mists.
