Chapter 19: Sazed was now only one week away from Luthadel. He spotted an army made up of koloss, blue-skinned, human-like creatures that continued to grow as they aged until they eventually died of heart failure, they were also extremely violent. While observing the army from a distance, Sazed was surrounded by a koloss patrol and captured. He was taken to their camp, where he met their king, Jastes Lekal, one of Elend’s close friends. Jastes stated that he wanted to form an alliance with Elend, and he allowed Sazed to leave to deliver the message.
