Chapter 17: Vin, Elend, and OreSeur went to meet Straff’s messenger, who turned out to be the Watcher. He introduced himself as Zane and said that Straff wanted to meet Elend in his camp. Elend replied that he would consider the invitation. Vin waited on the wall of Keep Venture, she sensed Zane’s Allomancy and followed him. They engaged in a Pushing match at Keep Hasting. Zane again asked Vin why she allowed others to control her and questioned whether the person she claimed loved her could truly understand her.
